accident prone toddler... :-0

Well, today started fairly well. Woke up and the website I use for watching Glee was FINALLY back up and I could watch it again. So that made this mommy very very happy.

What made today interesting was the immediate decision of the three year old to aparently try anything he could to hurt himself as much as possible. First he jumped on Grandma's bed and on one end of her bed is a wooden bar and he missed the bed and jumped on that instead and jarred himself pretty good. Then somehow, I'm not really sure how, he managed to get some skin pulled off his big toe and left a pretty good sized hole that left him limping for a while. Then he decided that standing up on a pile of number block things that are supposed to fit inside of each other (dont know the name) that he had turned upside down so they just stacked up, was a good idea. However the lesson was soon learned that this was not a good idea and that maybe Nikki knows what she is talking about when she had told him multiple times to not stand on top of them. hmm..... Other than that just a bunch of little bumps and falls in random places like his equillibrium is off or something. And the funny thing is, is as I write this he just tried to stand on the block things again and becasue we are running incredibly low on band-aids and other first aid kit junk he is now sitting in his chair with the threat of spanking if he gets up without my permission..... He just has so MUCH energy and it is simply TOO hot outside during the day for us to go to the park or go play outside. Maybe not so much for him as for Noah. Pools are all closed for the impending school year and watering lawns is prohibited due to drought so this cancels out the sprinkler... Ah well.... guess we will just have to deal with energetic toddler until it starts to cool off some.

Noah has been doing well today. I am still suffering from back pain where they stuck me so many times with the stupid needle before the C-section trying to numb me. Ryan is at work.... Its almost time to tackle the bed time routine for the boys and then it is quiet time FINALLY!!! :)

Good night all,

Church and a cranky cranky baby

Well this morning started off just like any other Sunday morning does. Hustle and bustle trying to find clothes to wear that are "church appropriate" for the three year old and the newborn. Plus trying to get myself ready. My morning routine on these days USED to be wake up and spend about an hour and a half on my hair and make up. Pick out my clothes throw them on and then decide what shoes go with my outfit and blah blah blah. NOW my morning routine on Sunday's is.

1. Get Adam up and deal with his crankyness that happens every morning he has to actually do something other than watch cartoons first thing for a couple hours. He has this thing where first thing in the morning he doesnt want to take off his pj's or put clothes on so he fights the entire time when getting him dressed and on mornings where he HAS to get dressed first thing you can just absolutely forget about him dressing himself. (10:00 am)

2. wake ryan up(10:20 am)

3. change noahs diaper (10:21 am)

4. wake ryan up (10:22 am)

5. find clothes for noah that will be cool enough for the car ride and warm enough for inside of the chilly church. (10:24 am)

6. wake ryan up (10:30am)

7. pick out ryans clothes, socks, find his shoes etc. so basically all he has to do is dress himself and he doesnt have to do much thinking. making that boy think first thing in the morning is like standing behind a horse and pulling its tail. YOUR GONNA GET KICKED. lol (10:40 am)

8. find clothes for me (10:45 am)

9. tell adam to stop jumping on the bed. (10:50 am)

10. make adam breakfast (10:52 am)

11. make a bottle for noah and feed him quickly(10: 55 - 11:10)

12. remind adam he needs to sit down and eat his breakfast. (11:10 am)

13. burp noah and put him in car seat (11: 15 am)

14. tell ryan where the car keys and his wallet are. (11:17 am)

15. tell adam to stop rolling around on the floor in his good clothes. (11:18 am)

16. run a brush through my hair and throw it up in a bun (11:20 am)

17. finally get everyone out the door and into the car (11:23 am)

18. put the basic make up on (this is subject to change depending on my mood on that day and whether adam is behaving and if noah is quiet. )

19. FINALLY ARRIVE AT CHURCH. (11:30 am)

So, needless to say we are pretty much ALWAYS late to church luckily we really dont have many problems out of either of the boys while we are at church only one that could happen is the occasioal fight of getting adam to leave the 2 and 3 yr old room and go to the car. And people ask me why it is that I don't go to Wednesday night service too. Well.... that is why.. I think this madness should be reserved for one day a week ONLY!!!

After church today the fun stuff began. We don't know whether his colic is acting up again (it had died down quite a bit) or if he is constipated or if he is just flat out CRANKY, but Noah did nothing but fuss for the rest of the day. Causing not only me to be just as cranky as him but also everyone else in the house including Adam. Adam however didn't stop at just cranky, he went beyond cranky and right into down right rebellious. He knew that with the baby in my arms, that I just gotten to be quiet and start to doze off, I was wayyy less likely to jump up and spank his bottom everytime he refused to mind so he did everything he could think of to get me to tell him to stop and then refused to stop. He would just continue doing whatever it was and look at me with a smartelicy (don't know how to spell that) grin. DROVE ME BATTY!!!

Anyway, they are both asleep now and the house is quiet. Thus ends another day in this crazy crazy household.

Lazy yet crazy day at home

Well today started off heavenly. The three year old jumped up with excitment ready to face a day of minding and sitting quietly. While coloring in the corner and mindlessly watching cartoons on the tube. The newborn giddy with the excitement of sitting in his bouncy chair quietly and entertaining himself without bothering mommy so she could have a quiet morning and start her day off as relaxing as possible. I was greeted with a lovely breakfast in bed of chocolate chip pancakes and bacon with a nice latte to drink. I could hear the birds chirping through the window and a nice morning breeze kissed my face good morning.

Then I woke up...

Waking to the lovely sight of seeing the three year old merrily jumping up and down on his bed with great excitement that I had awoken was indeed quite lovely. However the scissors that he had a firm grip on was not so lovely. Heart attacks first thing in the morning have a way of really ruining someones day from second one. Then I grumpily made my way downstairs because said three year old refused to listen to the many, MANY reasons as to why jumping on the bed with scissors is WRONG and could HURT him. All to find that the newborn was crying becuase of the Lord only knew what reason. And the father of said adorable baby had tried everything to calm him down and was fed up. So the baby was promptly shoved into my still half asleep arms. Breakfast was non-exsistent for me. Three year old ate his cereal in between dancing with the music on TV and coloring all over anything paper he could get his hands on. Which unfortunately included my school book. There is now a whole paragraph of words I can no longer read. Guess he figured that part of the book wasn't important and didn't need to be in there. Anywho the baby continued to scream until I finally found a position he was comfy in and fell asleep for his first nap of the day.  This is how my day REALLY began.

Other than the eventful morning nothing super exciting happened. We went and ate lunch, came home where Ryan went straight to bed and I began my circus act of entertaining/teaching the three year old and keeping the baby happy all while trying to get some school work done.

The end of our lovely *cough* day has ended quite nicely so far. I took Adam to the park where he promptly found a freind who wanted to play tag but Adam didn't know what tag was or how to play it. So I ,baby in hand, taught Adam how to play tag. Running around with a 3 yr old and a (I'm guessing) 5 year old, was a LOT easier when I was younger and the before baby happened. So I am exhausted and I do believe both kids are asleep. I am thinking that some mommy time is in order before I climb into my oh so very comfy bed and sleep soundly until morning.....YEA RIGHT!!

Good night all.

Hey Guys!

Hey guys,

I was reading about some other mother's blogs the other day and how they said it gave them a way to de-stress. So I thought I would give it a shot. There really is not a dull moment in our house so this blog is bound to be interesting (haha). So far today nothing really exciting has happened just Ryan and myself sitting in the newly air conditioned (thank God and Ryan's grandpa) living room watching Adam jump around to his tv show and Noah sit in his bouncy chair and Coo at us. He smiled for us for the first time yesterday when we tickled him and made little laughing noises. He is a truly adorable little boy. Well I am sure more things will happen as the day progresses so I will post later!!

Thanks for reading!
